COOPERATIVE EDUCATION
Cooperative Vocational Education is an agreement between an employer, a student and the school that provides supervised employment opportunities and learning experiences for students in on-site job situations. Selected qualified students are allowed to work on actual jobs related to their career technical program instead of attending school during shop time. The program is actually an extension of the student’s technical training, but is in the regular workplace.
Process for Student Participation
The process participation in Co-operative Education is as follows
1) Student is recommended by career & technical area teacher.
2) Co-operative Education coordinator will screen student for above criteria.
