SKILLS USA - WESTERN REGION VICE-PRESIDENT -
ALONDRA NIEVES

Alondra Nieves, a senior in the Business Technology shop was voted by vocational students across the state as the Western Region Vice President of the Massachusetts SkillsUSA Organization. This school year she will represent not only Putnam but all the Western MA Vocational High Schools at the state level organization meetings and events.

Over the past few days, Alondra along with her fellow SkillsUSA State Officers, have been in Washington D.C. developing leadership skills as well as advocating the importance of Career and Technical Education. The team has had the opportunity to meet with leaders from the Department of Labor and various Senators and Congressmen.
