FROM THE PUTNAM ACADEMY NURSE'S OFFICE
Hello Putnam students and families!
With the cold weather returning we want to be sure everyone stays healthy. We know you’ve heard it all before but these things REALLY DO help spread diseases such as colds, flu and COVID 19!!
Wash your hands frequently- Wear a mask in public- Try to stay 6 feet apart- Stay away from others if you are sick, even in your own home For the 2020-21 school year, the state has mandated a flu vaccine for ALL students, even during remote learning. You can call your child’s pediatrician for this or go to any pharmacy or walk in clinic for the flu shot. Please provide documentation of the vaccine by faxing it to us at 413-886-5471 or dropping off a copy to the school.
You can also fax or drop off any other medical information such as routine physicals and updated immunization records during the school day.
We know the pandemic has been stressful for everyone, especially teens who are used to socializing with their friends in and out of school. HandholdMA.org is a new family-friendly website for parents and guardians of school-aged children who are concerned about the virus.
